The approach

Every celebration begins with three things.

and from them, the visual direction.

The flowers, fabric, candles and tables come after that, chosen for the concept rather than pulled from a catalogue. Two thirtieth birthdays. One in wine, dusty rose and candlelight; the other in ivory, black and champagne with almost no flowers at all. Same occasion. Not the same evening.

Tablescapes, flowers, candles, balloons, backdrops, draping and signage are tools. Each is chosen for the direction, and none is in every project.

Styling

Chosen for the concept, not the checklist.

  • Tablescapes

    Linen, runners, centrepieces, candles, place cards and menus, composed as one table.

  • Florals

    Fresh, artificial or mixed. Bud vases, centrepieces, ground arrangements and accents around focal areas.

  • Focal installations

    The one place in the room the eye goes first: cake areas, plinths, arches and decorative installations.

  • Backdrops

    Architectural panels, fabric or florals, sized to the room and to the moment they frame.

  • Draping

    Soft textile styling for backdrops, tables, focal areas and floors, editorial rather than covering.

  • Candle styling

    Pillars, tapers, votives and glass cylinders in clusters. Warmth and depth after dark.

  • Balloon styling

    Sculptural, organic and integrated into the design. Present when the concept wants it, absent when it does not.

  • Personalized details

    Names, initials, an age, welcome signage, place cards, menus and small printed pieces.

“The name MINAZ carries my mother with it. Mi Naz is a Gilaki expression of affection meaning my lovely one, a name she called me since I was a little girl. The studio brings together my roots, my love of beauty, and my belief that the most memorable celebrations are not defined by how much décor they have, but by how deeply they reflect the people at the heart of them.”
